Description
The course is designed to bring together educators who support Multilingual Learners and their families. Sessions focus on successful student learning in math, science, social studies and English Language Arts by incorporating WIDA’s proficiency level descriptors. Participants will explore strategies for long-term English Learners, L1 literate, newcomers, and students who may have had limited or interrupted formal schooling school and may be preliterate. The training also encompasses programs and networking for dual language and refugee services.
