FRIDAY: Join us for an engaging and insightful keynote with Adrian Mendoza, a trailblazer in math scaffolding for English Language Learners. He will share his expertise, valuable insights, and practical strategies for supporting English learners in math.
BREAKOUT SESSIONS: Dive more profoundly into specific strategies that target the language of Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts for our English Learners. Explore various program models, including dual immersion, co-teaching, sheltered instruction, and paraprofessional-supported classes. Strategies for long-term secondary and elementary multilingual learners who struggle with content literacy are also highlighted. Improve instruction by focusing on WIDA, writing content, and language success criteria and having a taste of strategies.
